Took dear Jiya to the Gurudwara on July 22 - the day she turned 21 days old. Considered an auspicious omen in our family and among many Indian families, the baby is taken out of the house for the first time on the 21st or the 40th day to go at God's doorstep. Her dada asked the gentleman who was supposed to perform the 'ardas' to say a small prayer for Jiya as well, which he did asking Waheguru to bless her with a long life, good health, good 'sanskar' and to show her the right path. We prayed in our hearts for the same.
